Church Life during the Week

  • Sunday - Donegore Tots

    For babies and preschoolers we have a warm and friendly Donegore Tots run by highly skilled committed Christian carers throughout worship. We seek to include age appropriate bible stories into the programme.

    Donegore Tots is held in the Creche in the Halls Complex, which is situated to the rear of the church.

  • Sunday - Donegore Kids

    Donegore Kids is a space for primary aged children to worship and learn together on Sunday mornings

    Donegore Kids provides a vibrant ministry of music, crafts, and bible teaching for primary aged children. The children who attend Donegore Kids leave worship about halfway though the service for their Donegore Kids programme in the Grange Room, in the Halls complex.

    The Donegore Leaders Team is made up of highly skilled committed Christian practitioners who provide a varied programme for all ages as they model what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

  • Sunday - Bible Class

    Bible Class is the space for 11 to 16 years old to take part in the adventure of discovering the ways God has to fill their lives with His gifts and plans because they are of highest value and importance to Him.

    Bible Class meet in our Youth Room, which is a relaxed and informal setting for community, learning and friendship.

  • Monday - Girls Brigade

    Girls' Brigade Northern Ireland will be recognised as a dynamic, relevant, Christ-centred organisation effectively reaching out to all girls to value, nurture and equip them for life.

    Explorers (3-7 yrs)

    Juniors (8-10 yrs)

    Seniors (11-13 yrs)

    Brigaders (14+ yrs)

    Our varied programme is designed to educate, challenge and inspire, as well as provide Christian teaching that is relevant and meaningful to girls today. We help them work towards badges in four key areas - spiritual, physical, educational and service. Weekly activities include Bible teaching, games, craft, drama, singing and helping others.

  • Tuesday - Prayer Meeting

    We meet in the Prayer Room at the rear of the church building from 10:30 to 11:15 am. In prayer we engage with God for our world, our community, church and people. To assist us, prayer helps and topics are provided.

    Prayer is the greater work of a Church Family, so we set this time aside to pray because a Church Family at prayer reflects our highest priority that is to bring our world, community, church and people to the Living God.

    Our Tuesday Prayer time xis for those unable to attend the Wednesday Evening prayer time due to other commitments.

  • Tuesday - Presbyterian Woman

    We are a group of women mostly from First Donegore , who meet on the second Tuesday of each month in the Grange Room at 8pm. We meet monthly from September to April. Age is no barrier to coming along to our meetings – you will be made very welcome no matter if you are eighteen or eighty.

    We aim to reach out to women in our congregation and community, to encourage them to come and join in fellowship with women of all ages and stages of life and to grow in faith. Our meetings include missionary news updates, prayer time, a speaker followed by a cup of tea and a biscuit.

  • Wednesday - Friendship Group

    Friendship Club is a place of welcome and community for Seniors of Parkgate and District . Friendship Club meeting monthly on the 4th Wednesday at 2.00 pm in the Grange Room in the Church Halls.

    In addition to the warmest of welcome there is a varied programme along to a cuppa tea, craic and of course cake!

  • Wednesday - Bowling Club

    Bowling Club is where the friendship of community is provided and shared around the love of indoor bowling.

    Club nights are in 1st Donegore Halls where there is always a warm welcome for visitor and friends alike. The Club also plays a full part in local Leagues and Competitions.

  • Wednesday - Men of the Word

    We are a weekly gathering of men who want to encounter the living God in His word! As men at all ages and stages on our faith journey, we desiring to grow in our faith as Godly men

    We participate in studies that usually cover a particular topic of faith, and enjoy times of learning and discussion

    We meet weekly on Wednesdays at 8 -9:30 pm in the Youth Room in the Church Halls.

    In recent times we have included study’s on Timothy, Rico Tice’s Hope Explored , Matt Chandler’s Apostles Creed and Tom Wright’s Colossians .

  • Thursday - Boys Brigade

    BB is a Christian youth organisation, and our work is rooted in the Christian Faith. We have a hope in Christ as our anchor that sustains us throughout life (Hebrews 6:19).

    BB faith in young people and provide opportunities for children and young people to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment which is rooted in the Christian faith.

    There’s something for every young person whether it’s camping or kayaking, first aid or five a side, music or crafts. Members develop skills, build confidence, make friends, take responsibility and are encouraged to make a real difference in their communities – sharing the values of God’s Kingdom that make us who we are.

    Our vision is that children and young people experience "life to the full." (John 10:10).

    Our mission is to provide boys and young men with opportunities to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment which is rooted in the Christian faith.

    Our prayer and hope that children and young people experience life to the full through coming to know Jesus for themselves.

    1st Donegore Boy’s Brigade Company is welcoming, inclusive, fun, happy and safe place on a Thursday evening for boys from 4 to 19 years old.

    Our times on Thursday evening are :

    Anchors (p1-p4) 6-7 pm

    Juniors( p5-p7 7-8:30pm

    Company and Seniors ( 11-19 yrs. old) 7-9pm

  • Thursday - Woman of the Word

    We are a weekly gathering of ladies who want to encounter the living God in His word! We meet together, all ages and stages. United in love of Jesus and desiring to grow in that love for Him.

    We meet weekly on a Thursday in the Yth Room in the Church Halls from 7:30 -9 pm.

    We participate in studies that usually cover a particular topic of faith, and enjoy times of learning, discussion and prayer. Our most recent study was Encountering God: cultivating ‘ Habits of faith through the spiritual disciplines’ by Bible teacher Kelly Minter .

    We love to welcome new comers to our group so please contact Zandra or Holly if you are interested in taking part.

  • Friday - Drop in Cafe

    All ages welcome on Friday mornings to drop in for complementary cuppa and scone. Chat and fellowship. So bring along a friend or come and make some new friends.

  • Friday - Youth Alive

    Youth Alive is an initiative where a few times a year an event is organised for age group Yr 8- yr14, regardless if the young person is in school or not.

  • Friday - Church Games Night

    A night for community, fun and enjoyment around board games gives the ideal place to relax on the 1st Friday of each month.

    Meeting in the Grange Room on the 1st Friday of each month from 7 - 9 pm with a cuppa and some snacks. A warm welcome is guaranteed for all ages.

  • Friday - Crafters Night

    A night for community with the enjoyment of others of all ages to share you creative projects with.

    Meeting on the 3rd Friday of each month in the Grange Room from 7 - 9 pm; Craft Night is a great occasion to relax at the end of the week.

    What ever your craft project may be, bring it along and share a cuppa and some snacks, because a warm welcome is guaranteed for all.
